Takata Racing Scion FR-S at PRI
The TAKATA Racing Scion FR-S, which made its debut at SEMA in October, followed that appearance with a stint at PRI in Orlando, FL to show off its sleek bodywork, and friendly demeanor. Designed as a car that can serve as both a daily commuter and a drag, drift or road racing car, the Scion is safe and performance focused, particularly with the TAKATA Drift Carbon Fiber Reclining Seat and Drift III Black Harness.
The car was designed by Fox Marketing Cars and built by Fox and HMS Motorsport to show off TAKATA’s new products, but it’s definitely got the personality and style that Scion owners can appreciate. The body includes a front grille, side splitters, and a rear racing wing. The engine is a 2.0L Horizontally Opposed Four-Cylinder DOHC with Variable Valve Timing, and a GReddy intake and cat back exhuast. The suspension is a mix of KSport Kontrol Pro coilovers and Whiteline sway bars and a shift kit. Toyo supplied the tires.
