getting frustrated here so can we use the 1st for 2nd gen???
It seems (from all my lurking of this forum) that Randode is using the tC fronts and the xB rears.
I don't know about any one else, but I'm for sure getting irked by no lowering springs.

Ok to answer your confusion on what springs..
Ask yourself this..
IF the TC springs or the gen 1 xb springs were made for the 2gens why isnt these companies just re labling whats already fits and selling it.
Yes it does fit and work but why is research and devlopment being done by these companies to design a spring specificly for the gen 2. Im pretty sure if it was the same spring with the same spring rates these companies wouldnt invest big money to devlope a spring that is made for the gen 2.
You have to concider many factors on why each sping is differant for each car.
Weight of car.
Weight on the front of the car.
dessign of suspension
Spring rates.
It really up to you on what you wana do. get the correct springs that made for your car or use whats made already for anouther car that fits.
hope this helps you..

Just backing up what Marshall said, I am an automotive/mechanical engineer (just graduated from General Motors Institute - now Kettering University), and lots of dangerous things can happen with improper spring rates. You could easily lose control of the car in an emergency, stability control or no.
Marshall, aren't you contradicting yourself with your post on cutting springs?

As far as spring rates on the xB2 go. I am using the Gen1 Goldlines, the sprring rate is a lot higher than stock Gen1 (170F/185R). It's kind of like riding on H-Techs on the Gen1 where the SR was a little lower than stock.
