SW Xb with Tanabe DF210s on 16" Enkeis (lots of pics)..
Figured for those of you that are wondering how 16" alloys look on a Tanabe DF210 drop, this would give you some info.
For the record, i hate how big wheels feel. Mind you, I have 18s on my Lincoln, but big wheels degrade every single performance and safety parameter. The one saving grace is if you spend the $$ to get high-quality tires, otherwise, ugh.
So i was loathe to waste the OEM tires, figured i mght as well get some use out of em, and this way i have a nice winter set. I might get 17s (max size i would ever consider) for summers down the road. In addition, smaller wheels make your car look lower, and to me, a very low car with 16s looks better than a car on big wheels with massive fender gap.
The wheels are Enkei J10, got em from Discount Tire since they had a $100 off a set of wheels sale. While they are not light wheels, i cannot detect a difference compared to the stock steelies, and FWIW i noticed a 4lb difference on my big turbo Miata.
The front springs have been on the car for a few days, the rears went on yesterday, so maybe some more settling will occur.
Dealership has the OEM wing on order.
Smaller wheels never seem to look good in pics, but in person it is a nice, balanced look.

Closeup of front:

The front windows are 15%. The shop then put 35% on the rear and back, and you can see they are slightly darker, but barely noticeable than the fronts:

Front windshield is 50%, you can see how light it is from the inside, but still takes the edge off:

Looks good.
I'd argue that larger tires degrade performance, too many factors. A lightweight 17" or 18" setup with good sticky tires will give you more traction due to larger footprint, a small rim just can'r match the contact patch area.
As long as you're happy though. Performance discussion aside it's about looks and you stated you like small wheels

Larger rims are not always ghetto, sir.
Often for performance reasons folks go to larger rims, as long as they're lightweight and don't increase unsprung weight at the corners a larger rim also allows you to gain more tire (traction). On an xB with little to no sporting intent it's mostly for aesthetics I agree (save for the lean in cornering I hate from excessive sidewall flex present on tire/rim combos such as most OEM and your setup - however it does make for a comfortable ride on a straightaway), but ghetto it is not.
Can I offer you some gold/chrome spinners? :-P
PS. "You can't lose on 22's" HAHAHA!

Sorry sir but you are mistaken
Nobody buts crome 18" to 20" rims on their car to go racing. They put them on to look good in the hood. I understand about tire sizes and putting more rubber on the road but who is racing scion xb's. Racing is one thing Ghetto pimping is another. I guess they put all the big rims on the cars on pimp my ride and unique whips for weight and racing.
Chrome 20"s = Ghetto Fabulous!

Ummm Sparky, I will never have chrome, thank you kindly.
I will have 18's with some nice polished lip though.
Apparently your definition of ghetto and mine are a tad off. I'm glad you're happy with what you bought, that's why you bought it. I'll take the second white xB2 right above me please, no offense to your taste and/or purchase.
Thank you for the lovely illustration ScionFred.
If you consider this ghetto:

Then I'm ghetto, heck even ghetto fabulous, why not. Want me to get a "platnum" (yes I omitted the i) grill?
Guess what? I prefer it over your setup ever day of the week. Different strokes for different folks.
5zigen HyperBlack weighing in at 22lbs each. Check please, table one.
Enjoy in good health.

an 18in volk tire(depending on offset and width) is on average 1lb lighter than this 16in Enkei. In terms of weight, who in an xb will think that the 1lb matters a whole lot? Not me, but I would like wider rubber, shorter sidewalls....and who on this site wouldn't be called a "balla" with 18 inch Volk TE37s?
