Is the TRD Strut Brace worthwhile for a daily driver?
Greetings!
I'm a recent purchaser of an XB2 and immediately installed the TRD Rear Sway Bar -- the car's stock lean behavior was awful! The car already has a front sway bar, however, I see people occasionally mentioning the front TRD Strut Brace as being beneficial. I've no interest in adding items simply for the sake of adding them, but if something makes a genuine contribution -- one I can clearly notice as the driver. Then I'm interested!
It appears clear from various posts that the TRD Rear Sway Bar provides the greater benefit of the two. So my question is simply -- for a non-racer type of individual (me), and a daily driver xB, does it really make sense to invest $175 (plus shipping) in a TRD Strut Brace? What does it truly contribute to the daily driving experience?
Thanks -- Trevor

It will do nothing for daily driving IMO.
Get the TRD springs, it was a world of a difference when I installed them. The XB2 was scary trying to take tight corners/loops & once I replaced them, it was a night & day difference!

I currently only have the trd sway and the strut bar with all my other goodies chillin in my garage waiting to be installed (must figure a way work less and play more). IMHO vs. stock the answer is hell yeah. It handles great and I can't wait to finish the suspension.

The TRD advertising indicates the Strut Brace makes a difference with hard cornering, however -- that to me sounds more like a racing situation. For someone who merely wants the vehicle to track well and be stable manouvering in traffic and normal street /intersection situations, it's not yet clear to me it really makes much difference. That's what I was hoping to clarify.

Bought my 08 xB, and had the dealer put a couple of things on the car. The only performance mod that I had the stealer install was the TRD shock tower strut bar. After driving a loaner 08 xB for 15 days, I decided to buy one. You could definitely tell the difference between the two, although more so if you drive with more spirit. With the strut bar, one could feel less body roll in the front, or the tendency for the top of the car to lean to the outside of a corner.
Since buying the box, I have put a bunch of mods on it. I plan to post a bunch of photos, although I still need to powdercoat the front grille, and wash it real good.
