Default s-pipe and mid-pipe but no header?? any hp, few other ? too

hey sup everyone i was wondering if you can gain any hp from putting in a s-pipe and mid-pipe with out a header? if you do gain any about how much ?

id really like to get a header but i don't want rasp or deal with putting a 30" resonator in.

also what size s/mid pipe should i get 2.25 of 2.5 im planning to stay n/a. what brands are cheap but still good quality?

thanks

i have the ZPI (no longer in business...) s-pipe and midpipe installed on my car with stock header. don't know about any hp numbers...but they say the s-pipe is the most restrictive part of the tC exhaust system, so I'm guessing it helps a little at least.

midpipe gets rid of that second cat...makes it extremely obnoxiously loud, so i ended up putting a resonator on that thing...maybe i'm just getting old...

I had a megan s-pipe, midpipe and muffler. Cost about $650 for the above-quoted 5-8 hp. Not sure if it's worth it. I'd put that cash in the bank to save up for F/I

If you get the whole Intake, Header, Exhaust I think then its worth it. 20 hp for around 1000$. Our cars only put down 140 (stick) so a 20 hp increase its a decent amount compared to stock.

Get a nst underdrive pulley, camcon + tuning and you might squeeze a total of 30 more hp over stock.

yeah most people with i/h/e are pulling atleast 160whp

a low very low 15 sec 1/4 mile time is very attainable on stock tires

get some good tires and your maybe looking at 14's if you know how to drive

i could see a stock tC pulling a 15.5 with good tires with a decent driver

yea and everyone who is around 160 hp hasn't gotten a camcon dyno tune. Thats another 10 to 15 hp as soon as you get the right fuel/air ratio and adjust timing.

better off puttin a header , aftermarket spipe and keeping stock mid pipe to control back pressure and get rid of the stock muffler... sound will be wicked with any axle back even off ebay i have megan drift spec and its nice but a lil loud for some cops taste... ive been messin around with exhaust systems on this stupid car since i got it....must have gone through about 3 full systems all different setups and brands and now that im back N/A i feel this setup is the best...im actually keepin in the stock spipe too jus cuz i dont feel like getting another anti-fouler for the CEL

If you keep stock midpipe will you then be able to pass inspection because of the catalytic converter thats on the stock midpipe.

I know catbacks delete the 2nd cat and headers delete the 1st cat.

very unlikely. The primary cat is on the header, which carries most of the burden for cleaning up your exhaust.
