Default TRD Drop & Factory lip kit

now i have done a search, and read up on alot of whats on this board..

im not really a car guy, But i got a chance to look at a FM last night, that had the lip kit, and Trd spring's

and i must say! it looked hot! now i need some feedback from anyone who has the kit, and Spring's about Driving it. some people have told me that it will make the car way to low to the ground, and i will have problem's with Rubbing the road, and that can give me alot of problem's. someone also told me it will make winter driving Much worse! So i need some feedBack..

im not looking to race this car, or anything like that. This will be a tipical Car to get me from point A to B, So i really need some help,

Also is it true the car will get lower over time? causing even more problems?

lost :?:

I don't personally own the lip kit, and my springs I haven't had time to install yet, but the springs may settle a little lower then it already is. From what I hear, you shouldn't have too many problems. It's lower yes, but shouldn't be bad because the TRD springs only lower 1.25, which is nothing compared what some ppl on this board doing are doing, such as the 2.4 drops I've been seeing on here.

TRD springs dont drop the car that low as previously stated, i love the ride quality and i have the OE shocks, handling improved a bunch. its not too low, and not too high, like a BMW drop. and as for ground effects, they dont make the car lower... they make it "appear" lower hence ground effects. if it did extend the car it wouldnt be more then an inch ide say. but yea i say go for it the TRD springs are well worth it.

I have the TEIN lowering springs...they will drop the tC approximately 2". I wanted the factory lip kit...but I'm holding out for something with alittle more Umf!

I can tell you this...right now the car sit at a nice ride height...and it will settle over time...some times that a good thing...and other times it will come to bite you in the ****!

Without the lip kit, my tC...from the bottom edge of the front bumper to the pavement, its roughly 5.5-6.0". The lowest point is underneath(front portion of vehicle)...theres a plastic cover that keeps weather out, and that hangs about 4-4.5" from the ground.

If your careful, you can avoid scraping on a severe incline...but others times...well, lets just say "GOD be with you". Its really a preference thing. Here in Tx, we don't have to worry too much about the snow...its the krazy a$$ railroad tracks and steep inclines in our driveways and parking lots....that are your daily road tities.
