thats an awesome grille. Not the one im lookin for but maybe you can help. the 06 red tC special edition has a sic ___ grille. Do you know what one that is or where I can get it?

Both the RS1 and RS2 grilles are rare, because they were only available on the limited issue Release Series 1 and 2 in 2005 and 2006 - only 2,500 were made each year.
That black grille is on the 2005 RS1. Car color was red.

2006 RS2 was Blitz Blue. This grille for the RS2 tC is stainless steel. Difficult to find. According to the dealership, can't be ordered from Scion without a VIN from an RS2, and even then they are special order from Japan - very expensive, if even still available.

If you're considering a badgeless or VRD, just like everybody else has, it's something to think about.
It's stainless, not plastic, and besides.... anyone can buy a VRD. You'll be 'unique' with an RS2 grill on your ride - only 2500 RS2s had them originally, but how many non-RS2 tCs have this grill? Not many.

Yeah so hard. I have even gone as far as contacting junk yards and what not to see if they have a special edition rs1. Not so lucky. All that I have found from San Diego to Sacramento had front end damage and the grilles were destroyed. If anyone has one, I will buy. PM if you got it. Ha Ha..

hey i was curious, ive got an 07. its not an rs version, but i was curious if the grill would still fit in. i havent really done any research on them. any help would be nice.

Yes, it will fit. It's an OEM piece, so the frame and fit is identical to the stock grille.

I have this grill too, just finished powder coating the grill gloss black, now waiting for the grill surround to be shipped back after being paint matched :eyebrow:
