tc brakes sound crazy under max brake load?
Anyone have a tC and tried mashing the brakes ? I get a very weird noise - a "clunk" of some sort... sounds like its coming from the vacinty of the engine, but its not like a mount is bad because i can feel it in the brake pedal when this "clunk" happens...
Anyone have any clues?
The car stops normally, and under light to almost max load there is no "clunk".

A few questions if you don't mind to help narrow it down. I've had a similar sound in another car. I only seemed to hear in during an autox during very hard braking. I know what ABS sounds like, and this wasn't ABS.
In case yours isn't,
Is it a single clunk, repeated clunck, only under very very hard braking, or any braking?
And does it happen immdediately when you touch the brakes, or a milisec or sec after?

It's the ABS. I've seen loose suspension or loose brake components also make noise when under braking, but usually that's just a single clunck, sometimes under little braking or hard braking depending on how loose the component is.. That definately sounds like the ABS doing what it's supposed too...
yeah dude when i step on the gas pedal my engine gets louder...wtf is up with that?
jk...sounds like abs...it kicks in to prevent your wheels from skidding, so it will kick in under hard braking...and alot easier in the snow or rain
