SO a stock tC wheel goes for $525 retail at the stealership.
So I had a single wheel and tire stolen a few weeks ago. Getting quotes from the local stealerships was a real eye opener. One quoted $458 for a wheel and $271 for a tire. Adding in lugnuts, center cap, valve stem, mounting and balancing it's over $850 for a single wheel. If they stole all 4 I'd be damn near totalling the car. Second dealership quoted $475 for wheel as "the cheapest he could sell it for". Apparently $525 is list price!!! I could get custom made wheels cheaper.
yeah, either buy a used one on here or Ebay, or just go with aftermarket wheels
BTW, oem tires suck!!! they simply mark up the price because they are considered OEM tires, but for half the price you could get some way better tires!

You could get 2 TRDs for the price of one OEM...

Bought a stock take-off from Ebay. $77 + shipping. Lol. I love saving money by shopping around. So many people probably would have just bought it from the dealership. Now I just have to find some new tires to replace my discontinued Avon Tech M550 A/S. I was thinking maybe some Dunlop summer tires.
I searched on Craigslist for some OEM 17s for the heck of it last month and got a good deal. $400 for all 4 wheels and tires, only 18 miles on the tires. The owner went to a shop after they picked up the car to buy some 18s. They're getting put on my '89 Celica this week, the rear needs a spacer(got H&R DRM spacer adapter 25mm).
