Did you love your dealer?
Six months ago, we decided we wanted our new car to be either a Honda or Toyota. We were looking at XB's and Elements.
We went to our Honda dealer first & we saw every typical sales trick in the book. They ganged up on us, tried to put us in a used Element instead of a new, & refused to go down to the monthly payment that we wanted. (which was not unreasonable) They said "after all, you are buying a HONDA." So, we got out of there & went three blocks down the road to the Toyota dealership. Scion has their own showroom there...nice! We saw the Thundercloud 5 speed on the lot. The sales manager came out & we drove it & loved it. I told him what we needed to pay & with all of our options we added, that was no problem at all. No games, no hassle. So refreshing. Just wondered if you had good experiences as well. I know Scion is known for its pure price, but it sure makes for a relaxing and enjoyable car buying experience. Great job Toyota of Louisville!
Bought mine from Sparks Scion (www.trdsparks.com) and had no problems at all. Trust me - i bugged the crap out of them until it was ready too. Would definitely go back.
i have to love my dealer...i am married to him....toyota south in richmond, ky....
the good thing about scion is there is no haggling...everyone pays the same....since they have sold scion at the dealership i have heard nothing but positive remarks....

I bought my scion from toyota of louisville. They did a great job. Some younger guy showed the car and all its options and all that stuff, and even went as far to tell me what accessories weren't worth the money. My buying experience there was excellent.
I had a good experience where I bought, but Dublin Toyota was still trying to play some of the old games when I went by there. The way they tried to get me on my Echo already had me wary and they proved themselves shady to me...
the point of the scion is ease of purchase (plus its cool)...besides saturn, scion is the only company that there is one price and we all pay...the only choices you have are what you are going to put on the car....haggling is over....scion is hot!
My dealership was really crappy. Coggin Toyota on Phillips Hwy. in Jax, Fl. We get there, tell them what we want. They say they have one thats gonna be there in 3 days. So my pops buys it (yes, my dad bought me my car, and no Im not spoiled. It was a graduation gift because I earned a scholarship to college) So, car paid in full. They call us when it was supposed to get there, "hasnt arrived, will be here tomorrow" Doesnt end up coming for a week. Ant it still wasnt the one that I bought. They brought it down from Savannah, Ga. and i lived in Jacksonville, Fl. Well, we get it, and the guy said it had a performance exhaust, no exhaust.(he ment the tip you can get)
The Gen. Man. was very kind though, because of that he gave me floormats(eh) the intake and a borla exhaust. . . Not bad. And they couldnt even put the right intake on, i asked for polished, they gave me an orange one. . . so, second time around, they got it right. And getting that stuff took about a week.
But now I find out that they didnt transfer my registration which i paid $110 for. . . So legally, im still driving a 1988 Nissan 200sx hehe.

got mine from Alan Leatherwood at Toyota/Scion of Lake Norman. love him every time i go in there. like the service guy too. and a new guy...Bumble? lol i cant remember his name...i dont care too much for everyone else.
i purchased my '05 xB from Ganley Toyota in Akron, OH last June. the salesman was ok at best...sort of helpful, not very knowledgeable.
then there was the finance manager...what an ___...
tried to tell me that the best inerest rate was double the toyota financial rate, and through a different bank. i had to say no, walk out and come back the next day to get the correct percentage rate.
and when i returned to pick up my xB...the salesman literally threw me the keys...suggested that i 'take it easy'...walked back inside the dealership and disappeared.
everyone came off a bit...well, slimey in the end.
i absolutely would not recommend Ganley Toyota / Scion in Akron, OH.

purchased my from jim park of scion vallejo. mixed feelings...
good: got me financed at a credit union for 3.9%. drove the car around 40 miles to alameda to deliver it personally at 10pm.
bad: promised me touch up paint and never delivered after around 6 calls. told them i didn't want the floor mats but kept putting it on the purchase order (caught it twice). tried to cancel my toyota extra care within the 60 days and they won't return my calls. had to send it back directly to toyota.
what gets me might be a cultural thing. i just got back from 3 recent trips to japan and i know if you tried to pull this crap anywhere over there, you'd be out of a job. some respect and honesty would be nice.

Love is a strong word. I liked my dealer, Larry Miller Scion, however after owning ours since March and attending all the meets I wish I would have went to Camelback Scion. Mark and Bryon there are awesome and they attend 90% of the meets that we have. I think its great that not only do they sell the cars, they each have one of their own and mingle with the rest of us. arizona peeps should go to Camelback Scion and nowhere else!
