Default Twin turbo Grand national?!?! 1000+HP

has anyone seen this car?
Click me!

it dynoes over 1000+ HP. the Grand national is my favorate vehicle on the planet. i would rather have a clean, rust free 86 coupe than a ferrari. i wanted to know if you have seen this thing race or anything i wanted to know if it was the original V6 or an 8. it sounds like an 8 but i cant find any info on it.

the video is 1:39 long. it took me forecver to download but the video quality is nice.

i wont give much away untill you click the link.

enjoy. oh and turbo does weird things to video camera mics. turn the volume down a tad

HOLY CRAP!!! It was SPINNING tires on the dyno!!! That compressor scream was SICK!!

I have a video of a turbo grand national smoking the crap out of a TT Supra by about 5-6 car lengths.

Hit me up on aim if you want it.

A buddy of mine has a 66' Nova SS with a Buick Grand National Engine in it. You can see pictures and specs HERE. But yes, The Grand National is also one of my favorite cars ever. Very nice video clip!

Did they even make a version with a V8? I thought all G-Body (did they even make another body for it?) Grand Nationals were Turbo V6?

Too hard to keep head gaskets in the V-6!!!!! Monte Carlo SS with a strong small block is so much easier and cheaper..... Been there done that. If someone has some cash, my buddy has an '86 with way too much hop-up on the V-6 and 700R-4 trans and blown headgasket naturally. been sitting for 6 years..........

I guess thats a nice powerful car. I dont mean to be hating or anything but I was never fond of domestic cars seeing how as I own a Toyota/Scion xB and i'm replying on a Scion forum.

How well does it handle? I mean... yea it can go fast in a straight line but what happens when you have to turn? And also, how is that car a

If he could afford two huge turbos why couldnt he get it repainted. What kind of mileage does that thing get? I hope its better than a Hummer and can at least make 8mpg. Oh well... those are my two cents. I could go on and on about this car but I rather not. I rather have a Supra than a Grand National

Not necessarily all, I had a V8 G-body Gran Prix and my sister had an Olds Cutlass Supreme that was a V8. But I mean the Grand Nationals were all 6's right?

I love the grand nationals...........but those two giant turbos sticking out the hood look kind of silly to me. Kinda like weird eyeballs or something.

I'm sure it turns just as good, if not better than your xB. If you care about emissions or gas mileage, why would your rather have a Supra....why not get a Prius? Ferrari's get crappy milage to you know.

I hate American cars too, but you have to give credit where credit is due. The GN's are some badass automobiles.

That was a 5.7 diesel, made by Olds. Hideous boat anchor of a motor, the Olds guys figured out how to convert them to gas burner for super stout motors.
