Carbon Fiber Hood is on!!!!!!!
I installed my hood from Island Motorsports and it looks nice I will have pics up in a few days. It makes alot of noise but thats cause I need hood pins to latch it down. But overall its freaking flawless.....I have three more coming to Modacar for anyone interested in Northern Cali....Let me know...the price is going to be 399 plus tax on each hood.
Good deal
Island Motorsport does sell high quality hood for xBs
I believe they are rolled edge too
But noise is bad, plus a nice solid hood should hold even w/o the hood pin
I think you need to check into it and maybe replace new hood latch that fits instead of just use pins to puch it down
Reason we don't want to do CF Hood is because every car build a little different and seems like you need diferent latch for every car

Thanks to all that bought from Island Motorsports / Scion Sport Tuning. We have more Scion products on the way.
As far as the hood it is double sided.
When it rattles or if it is lose, make sure you adjust the rubber stoppers. There are 4 of them on the car.
The latch can also be adjusted on the hood and on the car.
I had mine for almost 3 months now and there is no noise or shake whatsoever.
Let me know if this fixes the problem. Hood pins are always recommended when installing a CF hood so I highly recommend getting some quality ones like Sparco..also available ar Islands or SST.
Thanks once again.
For the NorCal folks..check out MODACAR..they should have some hoods as well.

Yeah I have adjusted the rubber stoppers and will see...but member right now here in Nor cal its real windy and thats a factor....I am still going to play with it before I make a final judgement...its a nice hood and fits great...so I will see..I already have a set of hood pins to put on the car so I may just do it to do it...I am not sure I will see....thanks guys and I will have photos up soon....
