I was just wondering if a 17x7 +29 rim would work on a Tc, or is the offset too low?

you will be fine. the fronts will fit almost flush. the rears will still sit in alot.

i have a 7.5 inch wheel with 33 offset. my setup sticks out 2mm more than what you proposed. i have a 5mm spacer in the rear and it still looks like poop. for your setup a 5mm spacer up front and a 15mm in the rear will make it flush.

 

It'll fit. it will look better than the stock wheel setup.

its supposed to stick out around 16mm each wheel. if you had a 7.5 or 8" wheel, you'd be flush with the fenders.

 

itll fit fine, run staggered if you can, itll fill the arches much better
