Is it safe to put a 225/45/17 on the stock wheels? Or do I have to get 17x7.5's?

i run thoughs no problems just keep in mind the side wall is a bit taller but if you drag race your tc its a good think since that meens there softer to

 

i know someone who run Avon 225/45/17s fine.

 

225's are ok.... it's the wides that will fit. It may seem a bit bulged though.

 

no you an run bigger i had 245/40 pzeros and they fitt also but it rubs with the trd coils so i had to take them off but if your stock you can run them but then again why lol to big i had gotten them free from a friend and needed tires thats why i tried them on

 

245's will never fit on a stock 7" Rim... You know how wide they are?! If you put them on and actually tried to drive with them on they would probably blow off.

 

just ordered a pair of 215/45 Eagle F1 GS-D3's, lowered on Hotchkis so I didn't want to run the risk of rubbing

 

discount tires shoved them on my rims but when they pulled the car out they said they rubbed so we took them off

 

225/45 is fine on stechs so i got a feeling it would be fine on hotchkis also
