Default I F-uped, Now I need help

I am pulling out of a parking space yesterday thinking I had enough space. I feel a very light rub and think nothing of it because it has happen before with my other car. But I had this gut feeling so I decided to stop and check it out. What the ____!!! All kinds of scraped paint. Before I pass out I took out a little wax and rubbed it in. Not as bad as it intially looked, but the paint is still scratched. I need some help with some choices. Do I go with the bra to cover the scratches or do I have it repainted at $300 which is what I was quoted. The body shop said that they will take the bumper off paint the area and clear the whole bumper. I don't think that the spot should cost that much, but I want it done right. Thanks, Herb

Well, gee, what's a bra going to cost ya? I'm thinking it's not much cheaper and won't FIX your problem, just hide it.

$300 is a chunk, no doubt, but it's not going to KILL you. Skip lunch once a week and put the cash in the piggy bank to save if you need and fix it when you have enough.

Either way, it's dough — or deal.

Shop around on fixing and bras. I'll beet you find $300 is actually a pretty good deal for fixing it "right."

I priced the Colgan Bra and it's about $120.00. But damn, $300 for a small spot .

you should look at carsmetics they specialize in paint repair. you don't have to repaint a whole bumper if your skilled at paint touchups

Just dont do what my friend did....she's got a Green 03 Mustang GT...backed into a concrete poll, chipped some paint off the rear, so she goes into her purse and takes out some green finger nail polish....as you could guess, it did fill in the chips, but looks like crap...what was she thinking? lol

Unfortunatly because scion is SO FUKN CHEAP with the clear coats on the car that any moderate scratch is unable to be fixed because if they color sand it, it will burn the ____ty ___ thin layer of clear coat. I was quoted $200 to repaint my fender because of the same problem. I have a giant check mark scratch that can't be fixed without repainting.
