i have one that i got a few months back.. i ran it for about 2 months and am now back with the stock hood. I didnt want to run hood pins and didnt feel comfortable not running them so i took it off. I'll probably end up selling it.

I have a Fiber Images red/black carbon hood on mine and no hood pins. The Fiber Images hood is the best quality that I have found around. It's like going to Galpin
Ford and having a Galpin Jaguar sitting next to a new Crown Vic, both in the showroom and NEW. The Jag quality is 100% better than the Ford even though they are both brand new. The Fiber Images is the way to go for safety and dependability!!! :D :D If I was given another manufactures hood, I would still go out and buy a Fiber Images! Check mine out on the registry!

I'm curently running a silver CF hood from carbon creations, the hood fits great and is a very good quality.

are far as the reg CF hoods the best one I've seen are the ones from Island Motorsports/ SST they are double sided and fit the cars real nice without hood pins.

We had 1 guy from the club buy one of the cheap hoods for $180.00, the resin started fading and bubbling up after 2 days. He took it back and they gave him his money back. He picked up the Island hood from us the next day. Hope that helps out.

I had mine for a little ver 7 months now. Never had any problems and dont have to run hood pins since it is pretty solid.

I know that the one selling for $180 had some problems but it looks like they refunded buyers who had problems which is real nice of them.

I recommend..build it using quality parts and materials and you'll save more in the long run.

You get what you pay for I guess

I got one of the $180 hoods in the group buy. It had problems with the materials. I took it back and they gave me another one with no problems. They were very easy to work with. I'm running it with no hood pins right now, but will most likely put some on later.

Aimee if you are interested in the CF hood, Island Motorsport is haveing a grand-reopening sale this weekend 19th / 20th. SST will be offering the hood, engine cover and rear spoiler along with other Scion products at special prices. I will be posting the info on another thread or PM Adrian(scioninla) or myself if you're interested.

I saw the Island motorsports hoods in Bakersfield this weekend. It was the first cf hoods I had seen on a Scion (Scion peeps area little scattered up here in the Sac area) and they looked awesome(esp. Nilo's :D ). I really, really want one now. They are sweet. It was also a blast to see SE's cars and meet everyone for the first time. What a blast, and what a great group of people! I felt proud to throw my SE sticker on back at the hotel the next day!

Nilo, will Island Motorsports ship up to the Sac area as part of their big sale?

I purchased a spoon weave cf hood from OE Tuning out there in Cali for my xA. I was hesitant at first, but said what the hell. The spoon weave is a lot tighter and smaller weave which makes for a lighter hood and looks alot sweeter in my opinion. Ive got nothing but compliments on the quality and looks of the hood. The only thing I needed to do was paint the inside of it when it arrived. Now it looks like factory

If I got a CF hood I would have to paint it the color of the car.
