Default First time at the track!

Well, i just got back from a day at Texas World Speedway. Its a open track near my school. I basically did a work/drive program for today. I worked for 4 hours in the morning and got to run 3 20min sessions after lunch. I gotta say, the tC did some stuff i didnt know it was capable of.. Of course, that was done by my instructor. The first 3 laps were driven by him and i was like, o dam.. i didnt know it can do that. Afterwards, i took it around a few times, and then pitted, and cooled down and then came out again when it was our turn again. Overall, it was a enjoyable experience. It wasnt much of a race today since it was "Drivers Education" but alot of those drivers seem pretty educated and their cars were dam fast. *By no means was i trying to keep up with any of em. * BTW, my car is stock and is auto, but no dissappointments at all. Well...that is until i rode in my instructors M3 and he threw me around in the car for 20 mins.

The course we ran that day was:

Ya, that was alot more applicable to me than to pay the $150 that others normally would've paid to run all day today. All day include alot more sessions tho, haha.

Yeah I run at TWS when I go to the track...are you at A&M? Which DE club was it?

Were you running clockwise or counterclockwise?

TWS is a very "fast" track meaning you can get to high speeds... unfortunately this means that big engine cars are going to spank us. If you ever get a chance, try a DE down a MSRhouston since you're from Mo City. That track is much tighter, and there's more opportunity to run with the big boys, and in my opinion learn more. You're the 4th tC that I know of in the Houston area that tracks his tC. Congrats man!!

I ran counter-clockwise. And ya, during those straights, pretty much everyone except the miatas passes me or could pass me. It was pretty fun. I'm currently a student of a&m and i live in college station. I ran with the a&m sports car club. Well, wat happened was that the hosts of the event goes onto our forum and sorta just hires whoever wanna do it. I saw the posting and volunteerred myself. So me and a couple other club members went out that morning. The event itself was actually a drivers education sort of. I have yet to check our MSRhouston, but i'll look at their website or something. I'm not fast, but it was pretty fun, haha.
