I just got done reading this. Hopefully the dealer doesn't totally scratch up the inside of my doors when I get this done, and a jada car or something would be cool too

i checked my VIN and my car is effected. Whats funny is when I called and told him I was checking on the recall for the side inpact air bags he asked me if my car was equipped with side air bags. I know he has to ask that because I'm sure many morons call asking if they need the recall and don't even have the side air bags.

 

I know this isn't my region. I slammed the door yesterday and I didn't even think about the air bags. I would like a Jada tC this time!!

Yeah, my gf constantly slams my doors. I really doubt she is slamming them hard enough to set off the airbags though lol. And Randy, free stuff will make up for almost anything, depending on whats being given. At least scion didn't drop the ball on this and wait until it happened to more people then it did. I can't imagine when doing initial testing they do a "severe slamming of the door test", but who knows;)

 

They probably do test that, due to other factors, but it could be something that changes after time. Who knows, who cares? I am just thankful they are letting us know about it in advance, before it turns up on Dateline knews.

In another section of SL, someone made the comment that this situation reminded them of the Honda Civic commercial where the guy goes flhying out of the back of his car! I laughed my **** off!!!

 

whether they give something to us or not for the recall it's nice to know that Scion looks out for us and I can feel comfortable in the car I'm driving. I'd like a Jada car too but if I dont get one its no big deal, I still love the real thing and the company that produced it.

Scott, how did you check your VIN#? Want to make sure I am not part of the recall. Thanks. Sorry if you get crap for this, but PM me your sister's number. She called me and I deleted the voicemail before I could call her back! Fell like poop for not calling her back. Thanks mang!

 

Call the number on that thread (1-866-707-2466) and dial 0 for the operator. Make sure you have your VIN number ready and they will be able to look it up and tell you if your car is effected in which you will be receiving a letter to be able to take down.
