Default Axxtion sts review

i want to thank axxtion for their great product in the short throw shifter they make. i am reviewing this install on a gen 1 xb. i installed it on thursday and now have put about 100 mi. on it. i am using it in conjunction with my trd sts. the shifts are super short and it feels sweet. on the install part of it, it was very easy due to the fact i have a short ram intake. you will need to remove your stock air box to intsall, if you have one. there is only one part to the install, you disconnect the linkage closest to the tranny. not the linkage and arm that leads from the firewall. all you need to do is unclip the factory linkage, install the new sts with clip over the link arm. next reinstall the linkage on top of the new sts piece with factory washer then the new clip to hold it in place. sorry i dont have pics. bad weather along with the fact that its really hard to see it on the tranny is why i havent taken any. i was a bit nervous in ordering as i havent heard of axxtion before. i am standing up & behind this product and seller. i work in a machine shop, and i am very impressed with the quality and simplicity of this sts kit. thanks axxtion! i purchased mine by simply emailing axxtion.

like i said in my post i dont have pics. all the axxtion sts is a linkage piece that changes how the vehicle shifts. this is not a shifter replacement like the toyota trd short shifter. like i mentioned, it is a linkage piece that attatches to a link arm on the tranny itself. well worth the $ in my opinion if you dont wanna take apart the shifter.

I have spoken with the owner of Axxtion as well, and can vouch for the quality of the materials used in construction, as well as the ease of install and overall shift throw improvement. After speaking with him at leangth, i plan to pick one up after the holidays.. I wanted to get one last week, and do a write up and install DIY, but the wife reminded me that we had xmas shopping to do to i had to put it off for a week or so.
a Pic by pic install DIY write up + review would be helpful to some members, or at least a pic of the linkage itself. Hopefully the next person to pick one up will post - if i dont get one and do it first

i did explain how to install the axxtion sts. there isnt anything more to it than unclipping the linkage cable, and installing the axxtion sts on top of the exsisting linkage on the tranny. again, sorry for no pics but terrible weather has happered getiing photos! i was skeptical about the axtion sts at first. i thought this post as a testamonial would help. so i hope this again explains about the easy install.

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...hlight=axxtion

Here is his e-mail and order info

Thanx for the Interest,

Axxtion Short Throw Shifter fits all the following models: xA, xB-1, xB-2, TC, Corolla S 2.4, Matrix 2.4

The Axxtion Short Throw Shifter is available and will be shipped to you the next working day by Priority Mail. Axxtion offers the shortest throw and is the least expensive of any USA made Short Throw Shifter. By changing the pivot point on the transmission shift linkage this billet aluminum shift adapter reduces the throw by a true 54% throw reduction. The 7075-T6 billet aluminum shift adapter is stronger than the competition. Pound per pound, 7075-T6 aluminum is stronger than steel and twice as strong as others 6061-T6. Installation is also a snap taking only 10-15 minutes using simple hand tools and the provided instructions. The kit being offered is anodized clear and the price shown below includes freight.

To get your new Axxtion Short Throw Shifter, you can log on to https://www.paypal.com/ and go to the "send money" link. You can send a payment to me, using my email address (axxtion@hotmail.com) in the amount of $70.00 USD which includes shipping within the US. $75.00 USD which includes shipping to Canada. Make sure you include a shipping address, make and model, and any other info you might think I need. I will ship it to you by US Priority Mail, the next business day.

thanx
axxtion@hotmail.com

Review and Pics:
Axxtion underhood short shifter:

This setup uses the factory shifter and ****. The Axxtion Short Throw Shifter fit under the hood. Nothing gets installed inside the console so it works with all reverse lockout shifters.

Another happy camper. Super easy install. Once you get the stock airbox out.

Cos removing the last 3 screws in the stock airbox was a major PITA without airtools.
