I e-mailed 2 local dealers about test driving the tC2 to see which one would answer first. Nobody replied yet (>2 days) so they both suck.

I am sorry to hear that you were not responded to. Unfortunately, I am on a completely other side of the country.

This makes me think that it may be useful for dealers to contact their previous Scion owners, and 'invite' them, not wait for them, to come down and test drive the new products. I will be letting my management know about this tomorrow.

I appreciate all of your views. I am somewhat new to all of this. I appreciate all the negatives, because without them we cannot figure out how to make things better.

Are there any other points that we have been missing thus far? Please let me know.

Thoughts:

If you're going to have salesmen calling current tC owners to let them know about the new one... make sure they're not pushy about it. But also make sure they know EXACTLY when they'll have one on the lot to drive. Keep that phone call short and sweet.

"Hey, I don't know if you're in the market or not, but we wanted to let you know we'll have the new tC on our lot this (Monday) if you want to take it for a test drive!"

If they get pushy about trying to get you in the door, it gets annoying and you'll be doing more harm than good. Keep it short and simple and just extend the offer to get them in the door. Let curiosity do the rest.

I think I've finally fallen for this car. It grew on me. IDK, but I see potential in this tC. I'm going to see if my local dealer will be having them in soon.

Heh. Sorry, guys, I'm not a tC owner, so I'm not wed to the current tC, and I happen to like the lines of the new one. In person is does exude a more aggressive, serious look.

It's subtle, but it's there.

yea, I was thinkin' Ack knows what's up uh he's gotta be kidding ... I just didn't realize you were trying to make a funny.

Given Scion's model cycle as of late, a new model in '13 is a joke!

I feel inferior now. =[

I agree that it certainly has a more aggressive look. Just imagine one lowered with a little negative camber. Sexy!

The back is awesome isn't it. I like how it was flattened out. I always kind of disliked the bubble look of the rear end of the gen1(s)...... I think what is more amazing as Tom mentioned already, was the line from the rear to the front. It gives the rear wheels a nice flare.

Does anyone know if we will be having any tC demos at the Sept 11th car show?
