Default PTUNING: Turbo Kit Spec-SS (pics, dyno video, price Pg. 1)

PTUNING Spec-SS Turbo Kit (05-09 Scion tC w/ Manual Trans.)
$4395 (Pre-order price)
$4795 (Price, when the kit is released)
http://www.ptuning.com/html/search-r...PTURBO_SPEC-SS

PTUNING Spec-SS Tuner Turbo Kit (05-09 Scion tC w/ Manual Trans.) - NO FUELING
$3745 (Pre-order price)
$3995 (Price, when the kit is released)
http://www.ptuning.com/html/search-r...PTUNER_SPEC-SS

Specs on the Spec-SS turbo kit (M/T):

=====================================

Turbocharger:
-------------
- Garret T3/04E 57 trim with v-band turbine outlet.
- SS Braided oil feed line
- SS Braided oil return line

Exhaust Components:
-------------------
- Full 304 SS equal length low-mount tubular manifold with a long, narrow angle merge collector (Same as the one on our Ptuning TA tC)
- Tial 38mm v-band MVS Wastegate (new Tial design) (8.5 psi spring)
- 304SS external dump tube
- Full 304SS 3" v-band downpipe. The downpipe is designed to bolt directly to our Ptuning 3" exhaust system (either turbo-back or s-back).

Piping/Intercooler Components:
------------------------------
- 22"x8"x3.5" bar&plate Intercooler with 2.5" in/out w/cast end tanks
- 2.75" 6061 aluminum upper intercooler piping w/beaded ends and blow-thru MAF housing
- 2.5" 6061 aluminum upper intercooler piping w/beaded ends
- 4" 6061 aluminum cold air intake
- Upper I/c piping will include a pre-welded bung for Water/Meth injection
- Tial 50mm v-band Q-BOV (new Tial design)
- 304SS T-bolt clamps for all connections
- 4/5 ply silicone hose connectors
- I/C piping in either PTUNING Texture Red or PTUNING Texture Black.
- AEM Dryflow 6" cone filter/ w/ 4" opening
- 2 SPAL radiator fans.

Fueling:
--------
- AEM F/IC ECU
- PnP FIC harness
- Professionally dyno-tuned base map.
- PTUNING/FIC 625cc injectors w/injector plugs

We designed our turbo kit to be modular (just like our exhaust system) so that you can upgrade from the SS kit to the RS kit or even to our TA kit without having to buy a completely new turbo kit. Many of the components are shared between the kits. We will be offering many future components that are built around our turbo kit.

If you already have our Ptuning 3" exhaust system, your in luck because our turbokit's 3" downpipe/s-pipe is designed to bolt right up to it without any modifications. This will give you a true 3" turbo back exhaust system from the turbine outlet all the way through.

Here is the original thread on the PTUNING Race and Street Turbo Kits:
http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=238222

Awesome work .

Much better routing than the TT and Dezod kits. No low hanging pipes and people can still use fogs .

Have you considered maybe making a 90 degree coupler for the intake filter? It would position the filter higher and reduce the risk of sucking up water.

It would not be possible for sprinkles or even a small splash of water to get sucked into the intake, travel through a turbo that is spinning and contains some odd thousand degrees of heat, and then some how magically make it all the way through the intercooler piping, past the intercooler, and into the engine to cause damange. It's not going to happen. Also, with the Blow through setup, it's possible to not even run an intake on the turbo at all.

On another note, Mr C., will there be individual prices for components for the DIY'er that already has a kit, such as myself. I would essentially need the whole kit, minus some components (injectors already have, management already have, switching to the Ultimate soon).

Seriously people. Chill out about the hydrolocking thing. Its hard to even do it on an N/A car with a CAI.

Nice work!

Glad to see someone else step up

Yes it is, but not recommended, as your turbo warranty will instantly be voided. And on a street car, suck up one small rock and see how things react. loose compressor wheel, parts go through turbo and into motor etc....not a pretty picture.

Regards-

Todd

That kit looks great. Thanks for giving me another options. I'm saving my extra cash in the very near future.

Is there a Pice set for the kit yet ?
