Default T1807 Extra Settings help

Hello all,
I'm a new member of this board since I just got a 07 Scion tc. I have the built in T1807 pioneer HU. I was wondering if there are some extra settings to this HU that are not in Owner's Manual since my aux input is really low. And I know for a fact that the output from my mp3 is really strong compared to other mp3 units. It rocks my Sennheiser HD 555s without an amp. I remember reading somewhere on the scion forums that there is a way to adjust the sensitivity of the aux input on the scion tc HU but I'm not sure it was about this exact HU, it might be the newer one on the 09s. I searched through this board but I couldn't find an answer to this question. So can anyone help me if there are any hidden settings about this on the T1807 ? I would really appreciate it.

have you held the SSP button down and then selected a car model other than tC? the tC setting is very low. xA and Xb are much louder. Try that. And have you turned the volume up on the mp3 player? That can help too.

That will change the eq settings of the HU right? I really like the feel setting on the tc. Will there be a big difference with the xA feel for example? And yes I did turn the volume on the mp3 all the way up, however keeping it at full makes the output quality worse on most players so i need to use at no more than 90% for best performance.

yes there will be a difference but.. most if not all here agree that the xA and xB settings are much better. try it and see for yourself xA has more bass and treble.. xB is more bass/midrange

so try it and come back to report on it

I switched to xA mode. Aux is much louder and eq is decent. I'll keep it this way but it still bugs me that I read about an additional setup while holding some button while the stereo is off ... but it might have been on the ipod model or the new 08-09 stereo.

I am also thinking about getting the stock 10" bazooka sub with the amp and harness for $150, you think it's worth it for the price ? I know it's not the perfect sub but for this amount combined with the amp and the trunk fit enclosure it should be worth the price right ?

hmmm maybe the newer units, nothing on the 05-08 standard ones. but glad that worked out for you I have no idea why they put the tC mode in there, when it's the weakest of all of them.

are you talking the scion version or the regular bazooka tube version?

I'm talking about the scion version that was optional for the 2007 tc. It's the 10" bazooka that fits on the right side of your trunk instead of the panel.

I don't know much about that unit, some have said it was muffled, others say it's okay for "stock bass". You might want to search for the reviews on this site to see what people say about it. My thought is it's probably okay for bass, but nothing like rattling the windows or people staring at the car. But you'll hear some more bass.

Yes, it's worth $150, considering the ease of install and integration with the car. If you're a total bass-head and find it's not enough for you, you'd likely be able to sell it and get most of your $ back.
