so theres the 9005 to 9006 conversion for better light output on here somewhere....would it be possible to do a 9011 bulb in the 9006 spot? im in need of money so i was thinkin about selling my HID's and gettin these...they seem to be the next best thing.
by reading, the light is pretty bright already. but if you wanna fit the 9011 into the 9006, i'm pretty sure it's possible. light output would be even brighter!!

the brighter the better! lol....i want it to be as bright as my HID's. i would just be buying two bulbs, i wouldn't be doing my high beams so that would hopefully let me get around 100 bucks if i sell the HIDs....
i have the toshiba HIRs which are supposed to be the only HIR automotive bulbs and honestly, they are the same color as the stock lights. i had silverstars before and those were much nicer. the HIRs are ugly stock color, but yes, they are really bright.
ya, i have them now. if all you want is bright light at a reasonable price comparable to silverstars, i highly recommend these. they are VERY bright. the only downside is that they have that stock color, but hey, were not ricers here right?
yeah i know alot about the HIR's. The Nissan Maxima(04-06) has two options for thier Headlights. The HIR or HID setup. The HIR's do really well with projectors, and for a while i thought i had HID's, but when i looked on the lense it said HIR... The also last alot longer than the stock bulbs, with higher output. As for over heating the inside of the housing, i wouldnt know, but i do know i did take these lights apart to paint the interior of my lights and it was some pretty flemsy pieces in there i would think would have melted uder those conditions with the HIR's, but they dont...
I guess it would be trail and error if you would want to do this, but i really love the output the HIR's put out. They have a pretty high Lumens number...
i have luminics titanium white and they are dim as a mofo. you can't see jack with it, especially in the rain. hmmm.. if the HIR are stock color, then how come it looks white in the picture and the ground is illuminated white too? or is the picture deceiving? i know it's rated at 3600K and 4000K is white.

assuming he got the toshibas which are supposed to be the only HIRs available, then it could look white becuase he has yellow fogs which changes the cameras pics.
idk, maybe he can elaborate becuase my silverstars were so much more white. i recommend them tho, they are really bright.
The lights are very bright, as you can see.. The color is close to stock but slightly whiter.
They do not look like silverstars. But they are so much better!
Silverstars are coated in that light blue/purple which serves to decrease light output.
Anytime you have a coating, you will have less light output, period.
These are clear, these are bright, and they look hot IMHO.
I am considering doing this as soon as my eurodesignz bulbs burn out I love the color of them but they burn out so quickly.
Wow, thanks for this link. Looks like we can can get BOTH low beams and high beam HIRs for the same price the other links in this thread are charging for just two low beams!
