Is the Flush Scene “Over”?

You might remember that a few years back, getting your car to sit “Hella Flush™” was the coolest thing a person could ever hope to do with their car. There was this fascination with eliminating wheel gap and pushing the limits of wheel offset. I always thought flush’d cars looked good. Impractical, sure, but good.

But there was a backlash. A lot of people hated it. Coming from someone who generally appreciates function over form, I can see why people felt so strongly about low cars with high offsets and zero ground clearance. Personally, I don’t think it matters in this case because street cars are whatever their owners want them to be. The hate was real though and I can understand this trend being pushed out of favor because of it..

Recently, I’ve seen a lot less of this. People seem to be trending towards more an OEM+ kind of style with their cars. Low, but not dumped. Custom, but not loud.

Is it over? Should it be over? Let me know your opinions in the forum here!.
