The Toyobaru twins have been heralded as the saviors of all enthusiast kind since it was announced and brought to production a few years ago. Now, it’s showing up everywhere. Drifters have turned in their S13’s and 240SX’s, rally guys are starting to get them, and they are showing up more and more at track days and running amateur events. Now however, the twins have a World Record. Take a gander.
That my friends is the Guinness Book of World Records verifying the longest drift ever at a staggering 2hours and 25minutes. It seems that the feat was done by a pretty bone stock GT86 too, with only some different rubber, wheels, and some wonderful graphics. Harald Muller is a pro drifter from Germany and made the record in conjunction with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Turkey, which is great that the Turkish government footed the bill for tires! We all knew that the 86 twins were drift happy, but two and a half hours? My god, how wasn’t he dizzy after that one. Also that might get kind of boring after the first 10minutes. Then again, he does have a world record now, and that might not get beat anytime soon.
