Helicopter Drifting is the Best Drifting
We all know that there is a distinct adrenalin rush when you first slide your car and keep the drift going for longer than a second and a half. Same thing when you first get a ride in a helicopter. But what if both aren’t good enough. What happens when you’ve already had the mother of all adrenalin rushes by jumping out of a NASA space pod, 24 miles above the Earth’s surface and parachuted down? What do you do then?
Well, you combine Formula D with a helicopter, and film the entire thing.
What you see before you comes from the wacked out, adrenalin filled mind of Felix Baumgartner. He’s the guy that did the whole parachuting from the edge of space last year that went viral instantly. Now that he’s back on Earth, he’s looking for more adrenalin fueled things to do and came up with this. Essentially, the drift car initiates the drift like normal, but instead of another car chasing it, Felix is in a helicopter hovering only a few feet above and behind the 1,000 horsepower GT86 drift car mimicking its every move.
