No New Scion Models in the Near Future

Bob Carter, senior vice president of Toyota Motor Sales USA, told Reuters this week that they have no plans for any new Scions in the near future. Scion sales are down 1.6 percent this year and currently represent about 40 percent of the sales they had at their peak in 2006–and just .3% of Toyota’s US Sales. Yikes. Still, Carter said that “We are absolutely committed to the brand as our youth strategy going into the future.” So maybe there is still hope?
