Scion Descends Upon Pikes Peak to Ascend Faster Than Ever
Scion Racing is determined to break some records at the 91st Annual Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. This year they’re bringing a triple threat to the Rockies with the Evasive Motorsports Scion FR-S, Scion Racing Rally xD, and GReddy Racing Scion tC.
The Evasive Scion FR-S will be running in the Unlimited Class, so this weekend is sure to be interesting, especially with Pikes Peak first-timer Robert Walker at the helm. Motor Authority reports race officials elevated the FR-S up a class because of the car’s effective aerodynamics. What a blessing to have significant downforce when piloting at 10/10ths on the side of a mountain.
Contributing to a record-breaking weekend will be drivers Takeshi Aizawa and Andrew Comrie-Picard, both of whom are running the course their second time. Aizawa will be ascending the peak in GReddy’s Rally tC, while Comrie-Picard will be pointing toward the friendly skies in the Scion Racing xD. We can imagine Picard’s face will mimic the “xD” emoticon as he darts up the hill.
Weighing what Scion Racing has brought to the table, the results across the finish line should be pleasing.
