Scion Is Floundering and It’s About to Get Worse
I just don’t know where to start with Scion as a brand right now. First their North American CEO wanted to turn the brand into a sub premium marque. Then they came out and said they also want to lower the age of the company’s average buyer. Now the company is adding two new vehicles designed to do neither of those things. Ugh.
I loved Scion at one point. I still own a Scion FR-S, which in my opinion was the single greatest thing the company ever did. However, now they are floundering and they don’t seem to have any idea what to do, seeing as their latest “plan” is to add the hatchback iM and yet another sedan that will debut in the coming months.
Who are these targeted too? Seriously, maybe the hatchback will be good and cool, but another sedan? It will most likely be based on a Camry or Corolla, which are both absolutely terrible cars. They will serve no purpose other than to keep bringing the moniker down.
Scion, we’re pleading with you, just break the norm like you did with the xA, xB, xD and tC. Just don’t do this.
