Would Scions be better with iOS in the Car?
Car companies are good at designing cars, but when it comes to designing user interfaces for their infotainment systems, automakers fall a bit short. They’ve been getting better over the years, but companies like Apple are light years ahead in terms of UI design.
Because user interfaces are such a major part of its business, it makes sense that Apple introduced iOS in the Car last June at the 2013 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). Companies such as Acura, Chevrolet, Ferrari, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jaguar, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Opel and Volvo are planning to use iOS in the Car. Unfortunately for Apple-loving Scion fans, Scion is absent from that list.
Have you ever wished you had an iOS interface in your Scion, or does the Scion Display Audio System (or older interface) work just fine for you? Let us know in the forum.
Here’s a demo of Apple’s automotive iOS that recently hit YouTube.
