Take Your Pick of the Best FR-S Exhaust System
There’s nothing like a racy exhaust sound to brighten your day. Aftermarket exhaust systems may be the best modification: they’re rather easy to install, and for relatively few dollars, they can dramatically change your car’s character. The only bad thing about a sports exhaust is deciding which brand to buy. That’s where we come in, to lift the decision burden off your shoulders. Have a look at the video below to see which exhaust sound you prefer. The silver Scion on the left is fitted with a Borla unequal-length header, Perrin over pipe, Invidia resonated front pipe, and an FT-86 V1 catback.
The red FR-S has an HKS equal-length header, Perrin over pipe, Invidia catted front pipe, and a T1R catback single-exit 70R.
With those sonic pleasures freshly echoing in your mind, have a listen to this Tommy Kaira Premium 01TR Heat Blue Titan system.
If we were to pick, we’d choose the setup on the silver FR-S for its smooth, yet racy sound profile. Our second choice would be the red car for its smoother, more sophisticated tone. We’re not particularly keen on the Tommy Kaira system, so we’ll relegate it to third place, but for someone who doesn’t give an eff and just wants to be obnoxious, we’d recommend it, especially if you want to piss off your neighbors.
Let us know which exhaust system you fancy.
