Gold is typically not a color that you seen on cars that often. A lot of time the reason for that is because it looks gaudy and horrible. Even gold rims tend to look tacky on anything that isn’t a WRX. At least, that’s been my general opinion. ScionLifer CSOCSO’s tC, though, has me reconsidering my position.
The color isn’t actually paint, but vinyl. He’s got a video of the whole vinyling process too. I knew it was painstaking work, but it still looks like an easier process than actually painting your car. More importantly, you don’t have to worry about things like an uneven spray with vinyl. Also, eventually, when you get tired of rolling around in a gold Scion, you can just rip the stuff off. I imagine that’s pretty cathartic too. Kinda like popping bubble paper.
His other mods are all pretty tasteful too. His wheels are 18″ Enkei RPF1 SBCs in silver. I love the fact the the wheel nuts are color matched to the paint. It’s just super clean.
