That would be a good idea for puddle lights. Attach a set of those on the underside of each door and possibly the rear and each time a door or the hatch is opened, the lights come on giving enough light to see the ground (and from the looks of that strip, a 15 mile radius). They can be tied into the dome lights in order to come on when the doors are opened.

Interesting, I'll look into it as well. Currently I'm working on few light locations that should be pretty cool. It will be a surprise

Smart. I need another light for the trunk. I've switched out the light on the drivers side trunk, but when my trunk is full of stuff it's hard to see on the other side...

scion202, your tc build thread i'm the most excited for because alot of the things i wanna do with my car you have. keep us updated!

also something about your camera or your angles make the front of the tc very curvy, its very noticeable when you look at the bottom front lip/bumper. i really like it.

also also how long have you had that vanity plate? to get the word "blade" without any l33t spellings seems to be very unique.

I'll be putting many more LEDs everywhere. Once im done i'll probly going to have ~500 LEDs lol. The best thing is that the stock bulbs are rated from 5W to 21W! That means they draw from 400mA to 1.75A of current. The huge LED I used for the reverse light draws only 230mA, it replaced the bulb that drew 1.75A! So a lot of LEDs can be installed all around the car without blowing fuses

I see what you talking about the curve. I guess that's how it is! Looks more like nissans haha.

Got it a month ago. In NH here many vanity plates are available. You can go to our DMV website and play around. I had roughly 25 to choose from that i liked. Too bad DRKNITE was taken

So far:
front dome: 24
rear dome: 24
trunk: 4
trunk strip: 15
knight rider: 96
under dash: 72
reverse lights: 36
licence plate: 12
sunroof: 30
puddle lights: 60

Total: 373

If everything works out, in the next week I'm planning on adding ~180 more LEDs

How are those blind-spot mirror add-ons working out for you?

I have been able to get used to the blind-spot that the tc2 has... but it would be nice to have a helping hand... and for that I was considering getting the blind-spot circulars that you have.

Scion202, what kit did you use to put a second reverse light in or did you fab one yourself?

I like the mirror a lot. Visibility is 100 times better. I bought that thing a while back off ebay for like $2 for my corolla but was too lazy to put it on. good thing I didn't, its a def must for the driver side mirror.

Here is a short video teaser/preview of what's to come. I used the other half of the strip that was used for the trunk light. The final result will be full width of the sun roof and it will be blue. I know this looks kinda blue in the video as well but that color is equivalent to 6000k. You can't tell in the video but the illuminated fabric mesh looks awesome, can't wait to put the actual one in. So just waiting for the UPS man to bring some blue strip LEDs

It's really not that much....just YET. It's inside right under the wind deflector.

They are all blue. The LED strip in the video and the inside of the hatch are cool white. In the video it looks blueish but in person it's just white with the slightest shade of blue

my dome lights are high powered LEDs so as a result more white light gets through. The same thing happens with the HIDs. A 55w 8000k will look more like 35w 6000k
