then you'll have a "sleeper"

(Quotation marks intentional, WRX's are fast enough to never be sleepers)

its not worth it to do the conversion. It has diffrent axles, difs, driveline, the whle harness has to come out since the sti motor has some sort of variable timing that the non sti doesnt have a wire for in the harness.
The whole drivetrain/suspension/electrical has to come out.

anyone noticed how the mitsu from the side looks like an srt4 and oh yeah the motor is built by HYUNDAI??

Sidenote about this pic. It really is not a photoshopped pic. I have seen some more views of this car and it does have the STI wing. There is also a full size WRC car as well that has been built. So it's coming in some form or another.

I still like the gen before the current one the best. (I know they are the trendy ones, but I like'em anyway)

the fugly phase is ova!!! since chevrolet sold its stake in fuji heavy industries to toyota, subaru now has the freedom to move away from the upside down alpha romeo grilles. infact teh B9 Tribeca is due for a revamp shortly, featuring a more modern contemporary look and ditches (or at least hides) the "big-nose-and-smile" front end.
