I would shy away from American cars..but thats just my opinion. I mean they are big and powerful but heavy and sluggish. 370Z is truly the car to get. You should tell him to test drive all the cars he is considering.

Ok so end result is in, and part of me is hesitant to tell everyone here cuz I know some people will feel like they wasted their time and frankly i dont blame you lol, but his parents are actually going to surprise him with a 911 turbo that they just paid for. His older sister told me when I was at his house.

But for the record, after doing all this research and input im now seriously considering getting a 370z. and now i need to look into the 135i too. so its not a total loss or waste of time.

Anyone know which one has greater hp potential between the 370z and 135i?

370 afaik will have more of an aftermarket following. IDK how much power the Bimmer will take, but if your looking to mod that car, money shouldnt be an object.

I would be more jealous if I could fit in a 911, but wow nice car.

^^ i've heard that.. a friend that just got his m3 mentioned that. its pretty good deal but after that its still gonna be expensive still, especially parts starts to wear the higher the mileage.. if you dont plan to keep the car long then thats even better.
