I can wait to see what the redesign looks like.
We first gen box lovers may have a new outlet for our obsession.

Wow, that's sooner than I had last heard.
I hope they sell the electric one, because that would be an adequate replacement for the xB.
Hopefully, they don't screw it up in the redesign.
Needless to say, if they keep the character and dimensions right, it will be a shrewd move on Nissan's part.

Also, the current-gen Cube is a little smaller than the xB1:

Still, I don't think it's too small, but we'll see when the next gen one comes out here.

I spent a few weeks in Japan this past December and the Nissan Cube is one of the most popular cars / compacts in Japan at the moment.
This is not the first gen Cube that is being posted. It HAS been in Japan accumulating popularity for quite some time and the trim levels and options that are available for this car are staggering. There is also quite a following.
The Cube unfortunately is amazingly underpowered, even compared to our xB, but makes perfect sense considering the speed limit on the wangan (Japanese freeway) is only 80 km/h. Not to mention Nissan made this car super affordable. Like the xB, the Cube is deceptively large on the interior... It will be interesting to see how this very Japanese automobile is translated into an American version...
