Aroddalobster's SC progress
I had been updating the progression of my sc in my little "sayonara" thread, but i realized that it's in the tC owner lounge, when i wasn't even posting about a tC and figured this is a more appropriate place to post.
so anyway, I've been tackling a few little projects,
First off were wheels.
I recently picked up a set of bronze painted rpf1s,
and knew before i even got the wheels in my possession that i would hate the bronze color on my car, which i was right about. So, i got busy with some
a tooth brush to apply it with, and steel wool to scrub with.
it went from
to
(you can kiiinda see the bubbling)
looks like it went through a fire..
but it was all good cause it ended up looking like
after i washed it all down and polished the lips a bit. This project, I am still in the middle of. I still have 1 wheel to do... it was doable during winter break but now with school and work to juggle, that 1 wheel's been untouched for a while...
Next was suspension.
somewhere along the way, my car was up on jacks anyway since i was working on the wheels, so i went ahead and installed some f/r daizen sway bars with bushings.
that was supposed to be a comparison of the stock fronts and aftermarket fronts... didn't come out too well... it was already around 8pm when i started the installation, and my hands were filthy.
also slapped on a roof visor on to give it the jdm-yo look
As you might have noticed, the rear tires are pretty fat, and driving less than a mile yielded these awesome results, even with -3.3 camber
and the heat from the rubbing actually caused my paint to bubble up a tad....
whoops lol.
so, i jumped on the tire stretch bandwagon and got my hands on a set of 225/45 (as opposed to 245/45) 595's
cute little stretch
and now it looks like
tires looks kiinda small..
i used to call this a boat, but now, it's a boat with huge handling improvements with the new tires and sways. when socal was being bombarded with rain, i was able to get the tail out really predictably, and i ended up stepping out of the car with a huge grin.
Next up will be to go lower with new suspension since my teins are maxed out as is, get a custom exhaust fabbed up to finally install the 5zigens that've been waiting patiently in my room for 3+ months, and get a lip kit.
As for now, that is all! hope you enjoyed.

Figured I'd just drop by and post an update pic out of sheer boredom and lack of desire to go to sleep.

Link below contains most of my build up to here, though it's a pretty low-key/low-budget build
