One of the most endearing things about the current xB design is the lack of "waste space" in the styling. That's why the current one is shaped like a box - no swoopy curves trying to hide the very functional "Urban Utility Vehicle" shape. Form follows function, eh?
That's actually one of the things that really attracts me to the styling of this "Tokyo City Car" (bB/xB).
I don't WANT an HHR or PT Cruiser. :D
I like my little box that even makes a Honda Element look curvey...

i think it looks alright
those are five lug wheels!
and the "production" model above does not look like it has the same curved up windows it looks more like they took the xB and added stuff from the concept model.
then again it is all covered up

I think they took some of the styling cues from the t2B without making it look as hideous. I hated the t2B but love the bB concept. I certainly hope they bring it over as the new/replacement xB. When it comes to color I was wondering how close it is to the color the RS3 is going to be...

Looks like the next gen Yaris dash in there. Not too surprising, and I like the idea of a bigger sound system.
I know that Panasonic is trying to get into the action with potentially providing upgrade headunits in our cars. Something with HDD and an SD slot for video and music and what not.
That's what they hope, at least.

Comparing the green concept vehicle and the camoflaged one, there are some big differences. Where the concept has no side hatch windows, and little room for any, look at the rear of the camobox., there's all kinds of room there. It does appear the front bumper has changed and is not quite so flat all the way to the ground, and the hatch area grew a few inches. I love the interior, but unfortunately I fear that the concept is nowhere close to the prototype we see camoflaged.

To everyone complaining about it resembling a PT Cruiser - you know what they say about opinions...
I was disappointed when learning the xB would be discontinued in 2007, but this would be a suitable replacement. Although it does resemble a PT Cruiser from the side (fenders and angle of tail-lights), it doesn't offend me since I own a PT and love driving it, but the mileage is bad (22 average... yuk). But then again, I didn't buy a PT because everyone liked it.
Does anyone know if Toyota will continue with the fuel efficient engines, or will they upgrade to the 2.4L Camry Engine as with the tC?
