The thing is that I like the BMW more, I really do, but $6K-$10K hurts the wallet.... I could do so much more with that money.

If you buy the 335, watch your oil temperature carefully. The turbo tends to run very hot and there have been sporadic complaints about that.

Really? As of when? Do you have a source? This car has just recently been released in the USA so I would imagine that there isn't too much literature on it, unless it's a European model....

I know right! That guy can drive for reall!!! That car is sick! I really want it but it's damn expensive. I wonder if the 4 door can handle like that. I would like to think so.

I'll add some ammo on the "GO STI" front with a couple vids from my track day this past weekend:

Hot lap and some oversteer action: RIGHT CLICK AND SAVE AS

5 laps chasing a WRX Wagon on slicks with a JDM STI motor and trans swap: RIGHT CLICK AND SAVE AS

As of no my car a COBB Tuning 3" turbo back exhaust, COBB Stage 2 tuning (about 300 WHP http://cobbtuning.com/sti/power-s.html#Stage2 ), StopTech 332mm BBK, Eibach ProKit springs and Falken Azenis RT615 Tires.

Lap times on the day are here: http://www.speedventures.com/event_r...esults=OA&s=lt so you can see how the car stacks up with relatively minor modding.

the ride looks made bumpy on the sti and the interior is disgustingly cheap lookin and road/wind noise is ridulous...ya its fast but the bmw has the whole complete package out of the box speed, luxury, comfort, handling and class

remember parts for sti aren't cheap soo ur gonna have to spend alot of money to maintain and mod...a good turboback exhaust cost about $1600 for a sti and dont even ask how much a bring will cost you once it due...new rotors are $500 each

LOL, youre finding any reason to bash the car. The interior is every bit on par with the tC as far as quality, wind noise is caused by doing 130 with the windows open, and the ride is bumpy due to high tire pressures and performance springs which I installed. The car has no squeaks or rattles while my tC drove off the lot with the infamous hatch rattle. There is no way that with the same driver a stock non M3 can hang with an STI. The stock tires alone on the STi are light years ahead of what comes stock on the 3 which are good for 2-3 seconds on the track per lap

The BMW and STI are built for two completely different markets. The STI is built for homogation rules to allow for super stock rally competitions much like the EVO. The only BMW built for that purpose was the M3 GTR which allowed them to run a V8 in their racing program which was never released in the US and cost ridiculous amounts of money.

Instead of spewing your opinion, look at the pros and cons of each platform based on what the car was designed for. In the end, its not going to be your car and from what it sounds like, youve never ridden in or driven an STI.

my friend has a dti and its not a smooth ride at all its a pos inside...u only thing u care about in a car is its speed its not all about that lets see u hit a wall at in ur sti at 60 then same with the bmw lets see who walks out.. its all about quality of the car..

and dont count out the 335i sayin it not a quick as an sti my brother drove it with me in the car and the beamer can def beat a stock sti for sure...and once a chip is out for it OMG i'm not even gonna say how ridiclous the car will be..they are already workin on a ecu expecting to squeeze out 100hp just out of a chip!!! thats 400hp with just a chip in a HIGH END LUXURY SPORTS COUPE

I never said the STI was the fastest or that the BMW was bad. By the way, Im not mad about german cars being fast..in fact Im quite proud of my German heritage, and I know quite well that while Germany offers excellent cars, they are not the fastest cars in the world.

While the Bugatti name is owned by Audi/VW, the marque is not considered German. Try again sunshine

Heres a list to help you out: http://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear/powerlaps.shtml
