all i know is my gf had a 325i and her mom had a 5 series they both got them the same day on a lease, like 2 days later it was at the dealership because the cd player was crap then she took it in beause water was getting into the rear seats and floor durring the rain ( no she didnt leave the windows open) so they replaced the seals then her center console was peeling then her windows wouldnt go down the locks wouldnt unlock with the remote this problem was repaird twice and started shorting again after a week she has had 2 alternators her moms car got the trans. fixed twice same leak in the back same console was peeling and same lock and window problem but good news she didnt need 2 alternators so now i say F*ck bmw

We've owned 6 BMW's. Never had a problem with any of them. they ranged from a 3 series, to an X3.

Just like every car maker, there are some people who have bad experiences with them, but then there are others who have great experiences with them.

Well except for GM, Ford, and Dodge, they just all suck.

My family had a 99 328i for 6 years and the only problems it had were the notorious window regulators.

Anecdotal evidence means nothing.
