Default Building a New Front End for the Z Need Opinions!

Guys I am currently in the planning stages for building a custom fornt end for my Z28. I will be creating the mold and laying the fiberglass but ill prolly let someone else do the paint because im lazy.
I am building this so I can accomadate 315 sized tires in the front!
A close friend of mine has done this and his looks amazing but he has a LS1 so the front end is different.
These pics are not of my car ill put some of mine up and you guys can help me out.
My Inspiration (LS1 Version) I would like to do something similar but possibly a vent to help the flares blend with the door panels better.

side

Now a stock LT1 Car

From the side

The vent would go right under the Z28 emblem

I cant decide if I should narrow and maybe make the front grille opening taller. Also with the lip, as angular as the LT1 is, how could it blend witht he rest of the car.
Straight out and very sharp and angular
or round and subtle like the LS1 cars.
Also should the lip meet the bottom of the grille ala LS1 cars or should there be a space?
Next time i get a chance Ill post pics pf the homegrown one my friend did for comparisons.
