as i always say people that talk smack on cars like scion's dont know about the car and its potetial.....but all in all its all talk..you can talk and talk about a car all you want then a race on the track will prove otherwise.....

boostd tc's mop up n/a porsches all day errday. my old tC mopped the floor when it came to this old guys 911 carrera from a roll, felt great, (i was 270whp?), even now my GTi can do a thing or 2 to a n/a 911. at the track the other day my gti put down a consistant .4 seconds faster than a 911 (996)
havnt posted here in a while, sup guys.

Obviously not bashing everyone on SL, there are some very smart ones on here, but the true regulars on ystc would not in any way get "butt hurt" on here.. that is a joke and a half This site became a joke to a lot of people due to the kids with tuner shop built dyno queens that ignore fact and logic. This site has gotten better over the years (seems much better over the last year or so.. which is good) but I think you are seriously overestimating the knowledge level as a whole. Obviously both sites have idiots.. so dont think I am saying everyone on here is stupid and everyone there is a genius either. I have seen a small majority either way that truly know what they are doing on their own. And a lot start off sounding like an idiot..have a shop help them build their car up.. then they post a few months later like they are some sort of expert The shop that built their car are the experts.. no them.
Kids just get mad at ystc because a lot of the older, more experienced guys tend to be skeptical of magic, easy mods that defy the laws of physics when it comes to advertised performance. They want to believe that making power, improving economy, etc can be done with cheapo mods and want to believe that the money they spent on those cheapo mods was not a waste.. so they ignore logic and experience.
Again, not bashing the guys that actually know what they are doing here.. but clearing up that comment a bit.
I will fully agree about clubstc.. havent been there many times, but was blown away by some of the crap I read there and the stupidity behind it
And lets be straight here.. maybe someone beat a bolt on Z06 .) and that is an impressive build... but that z06 will run that way forever (they are not over extending what the car is built for), is easier to drive (RWD) with that much power and will still put a spanking on a tC around a road course given equal drivers and similar prep levels. So it is cool and I give credit if that was done, but you have to realize that people are going to recognize this when you start pumping up a boosted tC like it is some level above a z06, gt3, etc Being able to outrun something that is not even pushing its limits yet in something that is most likely not going to hold together 50,000 miles without serious maintenance is not exactly a fair comparison :D

CST yes... but you are WWWWWAAAAAAYYYY wrong about ystc. That site came from people (including myself) that were so tired of ricer kiddies on here who would not listen to reason. The main people that got that site going have been building for longer than some on here have been alive. I post on both, but have to say that the true education level is much higher on ystc than there. That is why so many on here still cant grasp the concepts of rotational inertia, suspension geometry, etc.

YSTC > CST. But SL > Both. I agree with you though Eng. F/I info lacks on both CST and YSTC so thats why I give SL the edge. I go to YSTC though to talk about suspension.
On YSTC its like everyone knows only of two F/I applications, the S/C and Dezod. SL does have the wannabe's who get a shop to do their work and now they think they are experts. Then again SL is 3 times larger than the other two, so its more prone to douchebagdom....lol.

I think the large number of members is also why you see more varied FI knowledge (and that is simply knowledge of other vendors setups.. I still think engine dynamics knowledge and the ability for members to build a custom setup from the ground up still goes to ystc for the most part) on here.. but also why you see so many ricer kiddies

Going to have to disagree with you there Eng. Who on YSTC other than Steve is even boosting any decent power? Maybe I overlooked them, but I don't see anyone doing built motors, big turbos, fuel return setups...etc. YSTC does not have the big dogs like PTuning or World Racing posting up on it. Dezod is the most popular on there and they still barely post there. Kind of hard to imagine YSTC being more technical on engines when all they know of is Dezod for turbo kits and their being only one car with more than 300whp. Or that one car being the only buit motor.

one way to keep scionlife above the rest so to speak would be to not start threads like this one. this has nothing to do with fi. its just an attempt getting people from this forum to help your argument on another forum about a hypothetical race. pointless.
if this thread was a vid of a race or something along those lines then that would be different.

thats why i don't make posts like this, or go to any of the car meets around. I mod the tc for myself and i know how fast it is, don't care what people have to say, I gave up on people long ago lol.

Some of the comments on here are the reason why all those other forums bash this place (And the 4 banger world in general). So IF someone actually got their street legal tC in to sub 12 second territory to beat a z06 (and actually beat the car, not just a crappy driver), it will not last a fraction of the time like that, is not NEAR as fun to drive as a RWD, NA car with that much power, will not handle like the z06, and still isnt near the car a z06 is in an way, shape or form. Is it cool that someone can make a tC run that fast in a straight line? Hell yes, great job.. not saying anything against it. I like my tC obviously. But there are far too many little kids out there that have this thing against american muscle and will use these one-off super builds to use as their reason why their 4 bangers are so much better because someone "owned" a muscle car. It makes the people spouting this stuff look like fools and makes it look like we all think our mighty 4 banger is a vette killer

Yeah but every group has it's fair share of ricers and morons, nothing you can really do about that.
Case in Point:

You shouldn't be surprised that they clowned you. A GT3 will would murder a 300 whp TC. First they're practically a race car and secondly they 0-60 in mid 3's and run mid 11's on street tires at ~120 mph.
Not even close to a 300 whp TC! I surprised there have been so many replies to your thread with out any body bringing this up?
You would need slicks, 450 whp +, ideal conditions, and an amazing launch to run with this car. And this would only be in a straight line up to 140 mph or so before the aerodynamics and gearing took its tole on the TC.
