The price though, the only concern I have about the XB is power, and it looks like the hornet is gonna sell for less than 13,995. Excuse me, but If the xb and the hornet were out there, and the hornet was cheaper....I'm buying the hornet i think

At this time, it's only a concept. Question now is...will it make to production? And if it'll make it to that stage, will it still have the same specs and design??? We'll see.

I like it but I'd rather hav a Scion xB from Toyota than a Dodge Hornet. If it goes into production it would look just like the Caliber and the Nitro with that new signature grille of Dodge's.

Chrysler has a habit of actually producing it's showcars, and from how it's using off-the-shelf components (like the Crossfire and 300/Magnum/Charger) I bet they will indeed make it, esp. with all the hype around small urban vehicles right now.

It was mentioned before and I s the suppose has to be brought up again, the Hornet concept uses the Mini Cooper S engine so realiability should not be a problem and the rest sits on the VW Polo chassis.

The only real issue I see with this car is like the Caliber it has rear bench seats and the weight. But for those who desire a sub-compact hothatch the first shouldn't be too much of a concern and the producnstion model should be lighter consider those LCD screens should be optional and all that real chrome is removed.

I hate the fact that it doesn't have rear doors that open independently. I hate trucks that have the half butt doors that you have to open the front doors first! I wanted an Rx-8 until I knew that they were putting that half-a-door on there. Power is nice, but in the long run I would get annoyed with this issue.

Cooper is BMW. VW is VW. Dodge is Mercedes. This will essentially be a German car built in the U.S. I'm starting to see how there are going to be only three car companies very soon. One German, one Japanese, and one Chinese. Probably in my lifetime there will eventually be only two. Eurocar and Asiacar.

not anymore they don't make the neon. The caliber replaces it, and the caliber SRT4 replaces the current SRT4, and by the way is so much hotter.

I don't think dodge's are all that unreliable. My family has had several and except for some small issues under warranty all look to turn more than 100k miles with no problems. One is twelve years old with 130k and just recently had some transmission work done

There was a time when a car lasting ten years was almost unheard of, and it wasn't all that long ago. I think we all have just learned to expect more than is feasible from cars and realistically, if it has no major problems before 100k, what's the real probability that most drivers will keep the car that long anyway? most trade in long before that point. Gotta have the newest thing- you know how it is.

Reliability isn't the issue for me- I just don't like the styling. If the caliber had come out sooner, I might well have purchased one instead of my xA.

Dodge lieks to play around with small car concepts (remember the Smart Coupe based Slingshot?).

If they do decide to produce something like this, it will probably use the same setup as the Caliber.

It is a Dodge though. Forget the reliability, look at the depreciation of any Dodge model.
