You have to keep in mind that the car it beat weighs 800Lbs more. Considering one is a die-hard sports car and the Bugatti is a luxury car.

I'm sorry....what is there to consider exactly? Does my post say fastest production car in the world? Or fastest car in the world that weighs 800 pounds less than that previous fastest car in the world and is no where near as luxurious?

I still would take the Bugatti hands down if I had to choose between the two vehicles but the fact remains (with all variables taken into consideration) that the fastest production car in the world at the moment is the SSC Ultimate Aero.

Remove some luxury and you will have a top speed record. I remember reading about the Bugatti about 6 years ago with a top speed of 247 MPH.
The Bugatti also has 4 turbos that I am sure can get a ltittle more boost.

Are you sure the Bugatti can handle a little more boost? Because if your sure then I guess you are right and we can just go ahead and strip the Ultimate Areo of it's title based on your assumptions.

The Bugatti preformed it's test at the Ehra Leissen test track which provided a much longer stretch of road for the vehicle to obtain top speed. Since we are all in the business of making assumptions les't assume that the Aero was provided the same opportunity? The assumed top speed of the aero is 273MPH.

Don't believe it? Don't get it twisted and say that I am claiming that the Areo can reach that speed. I'm just going to "assume" that it's a possibility since people "assume" the Bugatti has more in it.

Until I see either car break the record again I am not going to "assume" anything. Facts are facts. Ultimate Aero is the World Record Holder.....

Even if they make only two it's considered a production car. That's kind of strange. As long as it has all the safety and emissions equipment to make it road worthy, its considered production.

I said I read about it about 6 years ago and from what I remember it had a top speed of 247 MPH. I believe this was for before production.

Well sure it has luxury, but remember it has something like 10 heat exchangers (radiators/intercoolers/etc), an 8.0L W-16 engine doesn't sounds all thar light either, and of course all the computers to control the thing. So I wouldn't blame all the weight on "luxury" items.

There is no denying that the Bugatti is superior in all aspects... Except one "Top Speed".

The game has been on for quite sometime. The top speed record is always in the minds of a lot of car manufacturers. Until Bugatti cranks up the boost as you say (it would be nice to provide a reference of such a roomer) then the fastest production car in the world is the....
