I used to own a 97 Jetta. White, sunroof, and some simple perfomance mods. I sold it to one of my buddies, so i can still drive it.

How can I fit a set of 5 spoke Empi's on my soon-to-be RS 3.0? VW 4 lug is 4x130, Scion is I believe 4x100? Redrilled rotors? Wheels? Spacers? I love the Empi's and haven't seen an Xb with 'em yet.
well you can get a billet wheel adapter made or....... get the fake empi's that ARE 4x100

My first car was a `95 Cabrio.

Fun car..but broke too often and couldn't find what I wanted in aftermarket support.

Watch the offset, though. I have a feeling that the VW offset is quite a bit different from the Scion offset.

BTW, I just replaced all four wheel cylinders and brake hoses on my'69 bug. Parts cost was $112 for OEM parts. I wonder what the same replacement will cost on my xB?

my first car was a 68 bug. bought it when i was fourteen, and my dad and i built it up until i was 16.

finally had it completely dumped, cali t-bars, louvered stand-off decklid, full interior, 2550cc with dual 44ida webers. man, I loved that car.

ya im 20 and im on my own policy. i looked into it...i like the car, i just dont like it that much. im more then happy with my rs3, it gets more attention then anything i have ever driven in. though i do love that 2.0T and the 6spd is prob the best gear box i have ever driven this side of a Porsche. and the retro seats are just plain awsome

One of my good friends drives a '03 GTi VR6 6speed, he hates the car and has talked about trading into a tC several times. His motor mounts have gone twice in it already .. He know has one's from VF engineerings that cost over $500. The transmition grinds into 3rd 80% of the time.

VW is real bad about the warranty, that's the main reason he dislikes it.

One good thing I can say about the car is that the resale value seems to be pretty good.

I had a "99" Golf TDI... it was a great car. Drove it cross country & shipped it to Hawaii. That was when
gas was $2.00 in Hawaii.

It was going to be too much hastle to ship it back to Florida so I sold it there. I might have
gotten another one but the xA was cheaper & regular is cheaper than diesel. Love my xA but I want
60 - 80 mpg's out of my next car....

99 Golf Wolfsburg (old body) was my first new car. After 7 problem-free perfect years, it got a mind of its own and tried to kill me a few times so I traded it for the tC (after really wanting the xB). I did not have the nerve to drive something that would suddenly accelerate at full power on its own and had to be turned off to be stopped. Granted, it was only 115 hp but it's still scary and dangerous!

Otherwise, not a single problem and I miss so many of the little features... being able to play the stereo without the key, heated rear view mirrors, etc etc etc.

Double J my Tc transmission grinds from 1st to 2nd and that a known problem whats ur point our car trannys suck too the the vr6 did have bad tranny at the time but they have improved over the years...the new vw 6spd is so smooth and a lot more improved sickest tranny i ever driven..

my bro has a modded 04 gti whihc his clutch blow cause he was doin so much power that stock clutch couldn't handle it..so he took it ot the dealership and changed his clutch cause it was under warranty vw's custumer service is the best in my opion didn't give him a problem for the mods

Traded in 00.5 1.8t jetta 3 years to the date after I bought it due to electrical problems and there was noway in hell i was going to keep it once the waranty was up. Then I drove a 04 v8 access cab tundra for two years and when I got tired of paying 75 bucks a week for gas I picked up the tC as an impulse buy. The tC car not is less than what I was paying in gas for the tundra.
