Default Future Model?!?!

With the upsize of the rav4, does anyone else thing this vehcile may slot in as a scion?

The way i see, the next round of scions might be this, a convertible and a mini truck (outside of the redesigned xB, and maybe eventually tC)

Well I looked into it a little bit, and from what the corporates are saying, they don't want to use an S.U.V. or truck right now. Rumor has it that they plan to build a Scion to compete with the Subaru WRX. That would be interesting to see.

the front fascia looks very similar to the tC i.e. grille, bumper, and a little bit of the headlights

Its a dihatsu or however you spell it. I doubt that toyota would sell it as a scion. Its nothing exciting to look at for one.. not to mention it looks alot like the previous gen rav 4

1) I know i've seen it here before
2) I've looked, the search isnt that effective

Even so, the reason why I posted was to offer up a suggestion(more so hypothesis). Being that, this vehicle (Daihatsu be.go) will also be sold as the Toyota Rush in Japan could it be brought over as a Scion, would u like to see it as one?....

Isn't the xB just a Toyota bB with different badges and LHD? As a matter of fact, toyota have used Daihatsu's designs in the past..they DO own them you know

KingZ, who are your sources? This vehicle isnt an SUV its actually considered an SUW, sport utility wagon, sort of like the bB. You may be right, i don't doubt you, but
I could see this coming to frutition before a WRX style vehicle in the Scion line up (after all as well, Toyota does own a stake in Subaru now)..I mean we all wish but....

Here is the Toyota badged version called "Rush." Powered by a 1.5L 3SZ-VE engine (no more 1NZFE?)
http://toyota.jp/rush/

Mr. Press or the new VP of Scion commented that some Scion owners want a convertible.
Here is the Daihatsu Copen ZZ .

Selling another SUV under the Toyota sales room may hurt CAFE. I think one of the reasons why the xA and xB was added to the Toyota fleet instead of a seperate fleet is to help Toyota CAFE average. The Seq., 4Runner, Tundra lowered Toyota's CAFE. Adding hybrid models also increases CAFE averages.

From what I heard, all new Scion's are supposed to be purpose built for the US market. . . but who knows. . .

im not a fan of that bB.

if scions are only to be US models, that doesn't sound good for what mods will be available to them.

but then again it isn't to bad for the tC and is getting much better day by day.
