Here in the Texas Metro, I hardly see any tc's. But I'm originally from Orlando and friends back home tell me that they're everywhere.

But just cause it's common is no reason to get rid of the tc. It just gives me an excuse to personalize it ...

^^ true
I dont see many tCs here. there is one or 2 that garage near me but thats about it. I dont see any daily but I do notice that if I see one scion, it wont be the last. not often enough to make me want to gt rid of it though.

but the s2000 is a nice choice. and i agree that you probably should loctite your antenna.

actually, they're one of the highest in rank for quality of a sports car, next to the mazda miata, so you can't go wrong with either of them

At first by reading the title I thought you traded-in for a '06 Civic, I was gonna say something totally different. But with the S2K, I got nothing but love. You have good taste, I love that car also, and I hope you fully enjoy it.

I think he just lives in the wrong place... LOL I'm lucky to see one of each Scion a week. I travel 4,000 miles a week and I can go a couple days without seeing an xB,xA or tC. You prolly should have gotten the Honda first and you'd be farther into your payments. Enjoy Bro! I can't even fit inside one. They don't like tall people. LOL

You rack up 200,000+ miles a year? (52x4,000).

what do you do that requires that much travel?

Expediting AKA Hot shot freight. I'm an owner/operator and use a 1 ton extended Ford Econoline van (my other box) . I take every other week off. Average around 150,000 miles a year.

Maybe it's just where you live...

I see tCs multiple times each day I drive. Not as many xBs or xAs, though.

I don't really agree with your point abour rarity. . . if you want a rare car you could get a Pontiac Aztec. . . or maybe a Honda Insight. . . you see a lot of a specific type of car on the road because there is usually something good about 'em. . .

But in terms of HIGH end performance, the tC is probably not your best choice. The tC is a sportY car at best, and is a great package all around. But it was never meant to be a high performance beast. And aftermarket support for ALL Toyota's is completely lame, except for the 2JZ. . .

Man. . . for the price of an S2000, I'd really consider a TSX. The potential (and aftermarket support) for the K24 is rediculous, and it MUCH more practical than the S2000. That and it doesn't take much for a Miata to match an S2000, if you were to dump the savings into upgrades. But out the door, the S2K is a fun roadster.

OMG. i want an S2k so0o bad! i would trade in my xB in a quick second for an s2k if my parents would let me. i love driving those babies. One of the best Hondas ever made. wise decision in trading the tC for a s2k...wouldn't have gone any other route. well i would also trade for a GSR, Type R, Civic Si (03-05, 06), Type S, TSX, TL, or a RL

Who me? Theft rate sucks, and I actually like having my badges. I want to avoid somebody else debadging my car for me. . . and I'm a long fan of Toyota products.

i had to get a scion because my integra got stolen and my parents said i couldn't get another Honda due to the fear of it getting stolen as well. my mom says that's what i get for fixing up my car. lol, little does she know that i'm going to modify my xB too.

Personnally I see a lot more S2k's around then tC's. That and to get any good performance numbers out of it you have to drop the clutch from high RPM's which will eventually detonate the tranny or burn the clutch out though. Did you look at other roadsters out there?

Many of my friends have STOCK Honda's and have been ripped off a few times. . . STOCK decks, seats, climate control unit, oem bumpers, etc.
