I don't know too many S2000 owners who bought their cars to drag race. Now on the track or on a mountain run- absolutely fantastic.

Not that I'm a huge fan of BMW's, but the 3 series is the definition of BMW. . . it is by far, their greatest seller, and arguably their most popular car. Time and time again, generation after generation, few sports sedans can match the overall performance of the 3. Only until lately have a few different competitors come close, namely the G35 and the IS350, and even then, many will argue the 3 series is the better drivers' car. There is no doubt that the 3 series practically created the sport sedan segment, not to mention that it pretty much owns and dominates that field.

Now when it comes to the 7 or the 5, they havn't been as competitive. I'm not saying that I agree, just regurgitating what someone else is likely to say.

funny, but tc's and s2ks are both rare around here in sacramento. I see xbs quite a bit.

s2k is a nice roaster. really good on the twisties. really good at the track. don't listen the the no power guys.

S2K's are reliable and fun to drive but there's not much of a cargo space and tire costs will be high. So be warned. You will be much faster but leave your luggage at home.

So I am getting rid of my tC...anyways, im getting a Honda S2000 instead...my freaking dream car....much faster..hehe...I should got this from the start but whatever....

anyone disagree...agree?!?!...I love speed and the fact that the S2K is rare[BLUE]...YUMMY!!!!
I agree with your decision. Well done.

I'd say the tC is a more practical daily driver for sure, but the S2000 is a legitimate sports car and that counts for a lot, especially if you intend to drive it like one.

I love the S2000, only thing I don't like is that digital dash. I think if I could afford an S2000 I'd have to spend some $$$ to swap out that digital dash for analog gauges, but other than that it's an incredibly sweet ride. Excellent choice man.

No, 3 series are for people that want a drivers car, not a luxury barge thats 40 feet long. If you go to BMW driving school, guess what they put you behind the wheel of? It's not a 5 or 7 series...

The 3 is far more responsive of a chassis than both the 5 and 7, that's for sure.

I still don't understand why the "driver's" car still insists on MacPhereson's. . . double wishbone has proved to be the best in all racing circuits. And all TRUE sports cars use a double wishbone setup. . . even Honda Civics once had double wishbone, as do tC's.

I guess there's no reason to fix what ain't broke, as they definitely have the best application of mac struts I've ever driven, but I could only imagine what they could do with a double wishbone setup. Handling wise and "feel" wise, BMW's definitely have their appeal.

Honda Civics still have double-wishbones at one end, just like the tC.

I don't think double wishbones are the be-all to end-all though. A well-tuned mac strut set up can out perform a run of the mill stock Honda suspension. That said, it does probably represent the pinnacle of suspension technology advancements, but an M3 seems to do quite well without it.

True true, but you can strap a rocket to a wheelchair and have it outrun a Ferrari. A well tuned double wishbone suspension ALWAYS outperforms a mac strut setup. The only performance company that runs mac struts is BMW, and when it comes down to the big boys of racing, mac struts do not hold up.

You definitely can make struts do well, no doubt. But it is far easier to tune and race a double wishbone setup. The laws of physics are on its side.
