They don't keep them in the regular stock at dealerships, and they won't order one for you to just test drive. So yes, they're hard to find. Took me 3 dealerships before I saw one. And no, you can't drive mine.

You said yourself that you have a heavy foot, somewhere in some MPG thread. I'd find the post, but I'm feeling lazy.

I seriously need to get my exhaust finished. I don't want to run open mid-pipe and there is no rumble with the stock axle-back hooked up.

While the descriptive comparison isn't 100% accurate, I'm sure this pretty much succeeds in jabbing at all the ashpalt-only high rollers out there...

They are starting to show up at some dealerships - depending on where you are in the country. I'd say hit up Subaru.com and go through their inventory thing and see if anyone around you has any if you want a drive.

About a month and a half ago, I could only find 1 within about 100 miles of me and drove over an hour to test drive it.

Tom is selling his wagon. He needs the money for a down payment on a house, so he's going to sell the WRX and get an older Legacy.

Yup.

I'll let you know how it goes. From what I've heard, this is the only fairing that works with them without needing to cut clips in order to get them to fit.

Ya, I remember reading a thread or two about people trying to get fairings to work. I ordered the OEM rack just b/c of simplicity and price. Didn't want to have to install something else onto it... and was going to worry about the rest later.

That's what I did, but the dealer gave it to me for nothing. If I knew about this fairing issue back then, I would have had them throw in something else and just bought towers/cross bars.
