Default Hey Toyota!

you'e missing the boat! sure I love the rwd tC. great inspiration there. But you better get a rwd coupe going!! This Genesis is sick. who can argue with factory turbo and rwd? Not one other company save for Pontiac/Saturn can hang with this potential.

hyundai's have come a long ways , and are respectable cars nowadays and probably beat out most if not all american cars , but I would NEVER pick a hyundai or a kia over a toyota or a honda.

according to this, Hyundai is a better car & Kia is just behind Scion.

That survey doesn't say it's a better car, just that fewer problems were reported in the first three years of ownership. And it doesn't list the severity of the problems. I'd guess the majority of issues that Scion reported were with integrity (rattles, etc). The Hyundai and Kia could have had more major engine/tranny/electrical issues, just fewer number, but it doesn't specify. I bought my tC new and has 50k miles on it. Other than a rear hatch and suspension rattle that was fixed last year, it's had no problems. Not to mention Hyundai and Kia have horrible resale value.

well, it's all relativ. but how will you be able to live down getting spanked by a rwd Hyundai as he drifts away from you? nonetheless, it has potential and I have to say anyone else is just copying them. the ole " wait! we need a rwd coupe too!!" props to them for doing it and sposering a really good driver to run it

Well, I won't be getting spanked by a Hyundai anytime soon in my M3. That's what I bought it for. And my tC was $16,800, which is much less than what the Genesis coupe is going for so yeah, I'd expect it to be faster. I don't consider my tC anything more than a daily driver.

However, I also don't think Hyundai was the first to create a RWD coupe. IMO, I'd rather drive a Mustang GT for around the same price. I agree it has potential, I just think they needed to make it cheaper to really get attention.

they're nowhere near the first ones to make a rwd coupe

nor are they going to be or can compare to that type of car from the past.
